Martin County's Children's Librarians love to read, but they also love to sing and dance! Join us for a story and early literacy activities.
According to Every Child Ready to Read @ Your Library, singing, talking, and playing are also important for developing early literacy skills. This interactive event may use bubbles, scarves, hand-held instruments or shaker eggs, loud music, and more. All adults are encouraged to participate with their children in this fun early literacy activity. Families are welcome!

Drop-in American Mahjong
An open game play for players of all levels with an understanding of the basics. Sponsored by the Friends of the Martin County Library System, Inc.
The National Mahjong League current card and rules will be used for a 3-4 handed play. Bring a current card and set if you have one.

Registration is required for a one-hour session April 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29. You may find your Homework Helper at the "Homework Helper Meetup location" designated at each branch.

If you are a teen who loves gaming, drop by the Exploration Lab for a fun gaming night with the Nintendo Switch and board games.

Language Exchange Class
Join us for a chance to meet people from different cultural backgrounds and swap languages in a fun, flexible, and relaxed way! All backgrounds and languages are welcome! No registration required.
In this program, we attempt to pair you with a buddy who is a fluent speaker of a language of your choice and who wants to learn a language that you can fluently speak.
Intro to Glowforge
Interested in using the Glowforge, a 3D laser engraver? Join us for this 60-minute introductory lesson.
We'll cover the basics like what materials to use, how to make (or buy!) a digital file, and how to safely operate the machine. All supplies and materials are provided!

Beginner Adult Ukulele Series
Join the fun! This is a beginning 6-week ukulele course for adults. Please register for each session. Bring your own ukulele (no baritone ukes).
This is an Intermediate 6-week course to playing the ukulele, for adults. We will meet for 1-hour lessons, once a week. Registration is required. Students will need their own soprano, concert, or tenor-sized ukulele (These lessons will not include the baritone-sized ukulele).
Students will learn:
- Brief history of and types of ukulele
- Care and tuning of the ukulele
- Basic strum patterns
- How to keep a steady rhythm
- Three basic chords
- Hear and anticipate chord changes against a melody
- Two or three basic songs

Baby Cafe
The Baby Café is a place for moms and pregnant women to receive one-on-one as well as peer-to-peer support during their breastfeeding journey. A lactation consultant is available as well.
Selection Committee Meeting For MPO Transportation Planning Services
A Selection Committee will meet to discuss Proposals received in response to the Request for Proposals (RFP2025-3656) for MPO Transportation Planning Services. The Committee will meet for approximately 1 hour in the BOCC Commission Chambers located in the Martin County Administration Building. 2401 SE Monterey Road, Stuart, Florida.
Weekly Cribbage Game
Come and join us for a weekly cribbage game at the library. Bring your own cribbage board or learn how to play this fun game. All levels welcome.
