Code Enforcement Magistrate Hearing
This meeting is televised live on MCTV Channel 20 (Comcast), on Channel 99 (U-verse), and online at www.martin.fl.us/watch-mctv.
The Code Enforcement Division receives complaints from a variety of sources including citizens, businesses, staff members, and outside agencies. Staff inspects and investigates complaints to see if violation of County Code exists then begin taking appropriate steps to achieve compliance. These steps can be either an informal and/or formal process. Cases that are not voluntarily brought into compliance may be presented to a Special Magistrate at a formal public hearing.

Martin County's Children's Librarians love to read, but they also love to sing and dance! Join us for a story and early literacy activities.
According to Every Child Ready to Read @ Your Library, singing, talking, and playing are also important for developing early literacy skills. This interactive event may use bubbles, scarves, hand-held instruments or shaker eggs, loud music, and more. All adults are encouraged to participate with their children in this fun early literacy activity. Families are welcome!

The goal of the Homework Helper program is to provide students with the space, resources, and face-to-face assistance to complete homework and acquire knowledge. This program will serve the families of Martin County and enhance the library's service to the public for this free service. Volunteers may not solicit funds or services, sell goods or tickets, distribute literature or petitions for any purpose other than that which is directly related to Department sponsored programs.

Selection Committee Meeting: Audio - Visual System Upgrade For Peter & Julie Cummings Library
A Selection Committee will meet to discuss proposals received in response to the Request for Proposals (RFP2025-3663) for Audio-Visual (AV) System Upgrade for Peter & Julie Cummings Library. The Committee will meet for approximately 1 hour at the Martin County Administrative Center in the BOCC 4th floor Workshop Room located at 2401 SE Monterey Road, Stuart, Florida.
Creating For a Cause
Join this informal group to stitch, knit, crochet, or craft items to be donated to local or national programs.
Bring your ideas, enthusiasm, and skills or learn new ones. We have supplies, notions, and four sewing machines. We have projects for hand-stitching, machine-sewing, and no-sewing! We're making pillowcases for children, market totes, fidget/sensory quilts, lap quilts, bibs, bunnies and teddy bears. Adults and teens welcome. Environmental Lands Oversight Committee Meeting
The Environmental Lands Oversight Committee (ELOC) was created pursuant to Section 6(1)j of Martin County Ordinance Number 1221 and shall have the duty and responsibility to provide citizen oversight and conduct and coordinate any necessary studies to determine appropriate lands to acquire from the funding provided by the surtax. The ELOC shall make recommendations to the Board of County Commissioners.

Library Board of Trustees Meeting
The Library Board of Trustees shall have the following duties, functions, and responsibilities: To serve in an advisory capacity to the Board of County Commissioners and the County Administration through the Library Director; should the Library Director position become vacant, the County Administrator will provide the Trustees with the top three candidates being considered, their application and resumes. The County Administrator will solicit comments from the Trustees on each of the candidates and discuss possible rankings of the candidates prior to making a final determination. The final decision will be the responsibility of the County Administrator with confirmation by the Board of County Commissioners. Develop library policy with the advice and counsel of the library director, especially concerning library hours, book selection, use of meeting rooms, etc. Make continuing studies of all existing and future needs of the County in respect to public facilities and services. Review the financial position of the library system and make reports and submit recommendations regarding sound and feasible budget financing. Keep constantly aware of public library standards, trends, regulations, and legislation. Formulate or recommend actions to raise the quality of service and utilization of financial assistance from state, national, and other sources.
