Phipps Park Campground spans the Okeechobee Waterway, encompassing 55 acres of conservation and camping space. It offers excellent year-round fishing opportunities in both fresh and saltwater. Enjoy scenic waterfront views from your campsite!

Check-In and Check-Out:

  • Check-in: Begins at 3 p.m. You can check in online using the guest portal or visit the office. During park hours, the gate is open. Campers manage the gate for visitors after 7:30 p.m.
  • Check-out: Before 11 a.m.

Reservation Changes:

Gate Access:

  • Hours: Gate opens at 6 a.m., closes at 7:30 p.m.
  • Code: Sent via email upon reservation and weekly for longer stays.

Pets:

  • You may bring up to 2 vaccinated pets to your campsite, which must be leashed and cleaned up after. Please note that dogs are not permitted in the adventure tent area.

Campsite Setup:

  • We do not allow personal tent camping; however, adventure tents are available for rent.
  • Utilities: Report issues to staff during office hours or email.

Campsite Etiquette:

  • Music: Allowed; quiet hours from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m.
  • Fire Pits: Use firewood only; available for purchase at the office.

Parking:

  • 2 vehicles or 1 vehicle + trailer per site in the gravel area. Additional parking at the gate and pavilion.

Boats:

  • You can bring a boat; park on your RV site or at the boat ramp.

Reservations

To make a reservation online, or to modify an existing reservation, please select from the buttons below. Reservations should be made at least 24 hours in advance of your arrival to ensure timely delivery of the gate code for after-hours park entry.

Cancellations, date transfers and refunds must be made fourteen (14) days prior to the reserved arrival date. No refunds or transfers will be granted for cancellations or transfers made less than 14 days from the arrival date. This means you lose your reservation payment.

  • A $25 cancellation fee will be applied to the refund request for campsites with reservation dates lasting between 1 and 14 nights.
  • A $100 cancellation fee will be applied to the refund request for campsites with reservation dates lasting between 15 and 29 days.
  • A $300 cancellation fee will be applied to the refund request for campsites with reservation dates that are 30 nights or greater.

Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing by contacting Phipps Park Campground via email at phippspark@martin.fl.us. All requests must be accompanied by the reservation email receipt, site number and name of the person who made the reservation.

In the event the Campground closes due to Tropical Storms, Hurricanes, or required maintenance, customers will receive a refund for the duration of the closure.

Reservations & Check-In / Out

  • Same Day Reservations: Must be made by 5 p.m.
  • Check-In/Out: Check-in time is 3:00 p.m. and check-out time is 11:00 a.m.
  • Payment: Must be made in advance. The park prohibits the use of campsites without payment. Camping equipment will be stored at the owner’s expense if camping fees are not paid within 24 hours after the allocated registration time.

Gate Access

  • Gate Hours: The front gate opens at 6 a.m. and closes at 7:30 p.m. Campers are provided a gate code for after-hours access. Campers must open and close the gate for visitors arriving after 7:30 p.m.

Camping Policies

  • Recreational Use Only: Adventure Tent camping and RV sites are restricted to recreational use.
  • Camping Permit: No person is authorized to camp or sleep in the park unless he/she has obtained a park permit.
  • Allowed Accommodations: Overnight sleeping in a RV, travel trailer, pop-up camper, fifth wheel, camper van and camper truck is permitted. Car camping, including camping in a truck, van or SUV, is prohibited.  Phipps park does not allow tent camping or converted trailers and school buses.  Platform tents are available for rental.  
  • Capacity: Campsites are designated to hold a maximum of six (6) people.

Duration Limits

  • RV Camping: Limited to 90 days within 300 consecutive days. Reservations exceeding this limit will be canceled and will not be eligible for a refund.
  • Adventure Tent Camping: Limited to 14 days within a 6-month period. Reservations exceeding this limit will be canceled and will not be eligible for a refund.

Campsite Maintenance & Vehicle Policies

  • Campsite Condition: Must be maintained in a neat and orderly condition.
  • Vehicle Storage: Overnight storage of recreational vehicles, boats, trailers and other vehicles is not permitted except with an active camping permit and physical presence of the registered camper. Maximum of two vehicles per site; a trailer or motorcycle can replace the second car. Additional camping units and vehicles require an extra reservation and/or fee. Boat trailers must be placed on the south side of the boat ramp, locked and secured.
  • Proof of Registration: Campers must provide proof of registration for all vehicles and trailers upon request.

Prohibited Items & Activities

  • Use of Property: No screws or nails in trees or park property. Use of pallets or scrap lumber for firewood is not permitted.
  • Activities: No smoking within 50 feet of all buildings. No fireworks, golfing, or vehicle washing/repairing in the park.
  • Dishwashing and Laundry: Prohibited in bathrooms.
  • Transporting Waste: Transport black or gray water only in approved containers. Use the dump station for disposal.
  • Lines/Ropes: Not permitted to be tied to trees.

Quiet Hours & Facility Hours

  • Quiet Hours: From 10:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
  • Laundry Room Hours: From 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Pets

  • Limits and Restrictions: There is a limit of two pets per campsite. Pets must be kept on the campsite or be restrained with a leash six feet or less. Pet owners must be able to show proof of vaccinations and licenses upon request. Pet waste must be picked up by owners, consistent with Section 9.92.B., General Ordinances, Martin County Code. Section 9.90, General Ordinances, Martin County Code regarding animal restraints, is strictly enforced.
  • Adventure Tents Area: Pets are not allowed overnight.

General Rules

  • Conduct: Persons under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Parents are responsible for their children’s conduct.
  • Overnight Absence: Inform the Park Supervisor if you are planning to be away from the campsite overnight.
  • Compliance: All persons must comply with Federal, State & Local laws. The person registering is responsible for seeing that all members of his or her party and guests obey park rules. Failure to observe and comply with park rules, county ordinances or laws may result in forfeiture of camping privileges.

Please take proper precautions to secure your property/equipment as Phipps Park will not be responsible for thefts or damage.
