Request Mosquito-Eating Fish

Martin County Mosquito Control uses integrated mosquito management to control the mosquito population - trapping mosquitoes, identifying the species and determining the most effective strategy to control them. Residents who are interested in using biological control measures can now request native, freshwater, mosquito-eating Gambusia fish. Gambusia fish are natural predators of mosquito larvae and can be used to control mosquitoes. One Gambusia fish can eat 100 mosquito larvae per day which ultimately leads to fewer adults.
