Streetlight Maintenance in Martin County
There are approximately 6,000 streetlights throughout Martin County. Florida Power and Light (FPL), Martin County, and the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) are responsible for repairing and replacing these streetlights. FPL maintains approximately 3,200 of these streetlights, while Martin County Public Works maintains approximately 2,000. FPL is the primary lighting provider for residential streets and many gated communities.
Reporting Streetlight Issues
Streetlight outages and requests for repair can be reported directly to FPL or Martin County Public Works. To report a streetlight outage, request a repair, or request a new streetlight installation, follow the instructions below. For residents in gated communities or on privately maintained roads, contact your Homeowners Association (HOA) or property manager first.
