Repair or Replace Traffic Signal

Traffic Signals

Traffic signals manage the flow of vehicles, bicycles, and pedestrians at intersections and other critical points on the roadway. Signals are carefully timed and maintained to ensure efficient and safe travel across the county. The Public Works Traffic Division is responsible for the regular maintenance, repair, and upgrading of all traffic signals. This includes:

  • Monitoring signals for proper operation.
  • Adjusting signal timing to optimize traffic flow.
  • Installing new technologies like adaptive traffic signals, which adjust in real-time based on current traffic conditions.
