About
PGA HOPE (Helping Our Patriots Everywhere) is the flagship military program of the South Florida PGA Foundation.
PGA HOPE introduces golf to Veterans with disabilities to enhance their physical, mental, social, and emotional well-being.
The program introduces the game of golf through a developmental 6-week curriculum taught by PGA Professionals trained in adaptive golf and military cultural competency.
The program is funded by PGA REACH and supplemented by PGA Section Foundations, so the cost of programming is FREE to all Veterans.
In the first 5 weeks of the program, only the practice area is utilized. Typically, there will be a rotation of groups between the chipping, putting, and full swing areas.
In the final week, which we call "graduation," the Veterans are taken on course to play a 5-6 hole scramble, followed by awards with food and beverage for the class.
Since 2015, PGA HOPE has impacted the lives of over 860 Veterans through 55 programs throughout South Florida with the support of many PGA Professionals and host facilities like Sailfish Sands Golf Course. Learn More
