Beach Conditions

Martin County Ocean Rescue provides protection and response to emergencies at Martin County's four guarded beaches. Beaches are staffed 365 days a year with EMT / Ocean Lifeguards.

To listen to daily pre-recorded information such as beach closure notices, tide times, surf and weather forecasts, and the number of lifeguard towers open for the day, call Martin County's Beach Information Hotline at (772) 320-3112.

Lifeguards are on duty when the conditions flag is displayed on the lifeguard tower.

Beach Wheelchairs

In order to promote coastal access for everyone, Martin County Ocean Rescue maintains a Beach Wheelchair Program.

These light all-terrain chairs allow people with a wide variety of limitations to enjoy the beauty of our coastal areas.

Rolling beach wheelchairs are available at the following lifeguard stations:

  • Stuart Beach
  • Hobe Sound Beach
  • Jensen Beach

To use one of our beach wheelchairs, speak to a lifeguard at one of the guard towers. There is a limited supply, and they are available first come, first served at no charge.
