Hurricane season begins June 1 and ends November 30. Martin County would like to remind residents about the importance of being prepared should a hurricane threaten our area. Review our hurricane preparedness page for information and resources.
Check your voter status
Now is the time to check your voter status! The Martin County Supervisor of Elections reminds voters that Monday, July 22 is the last day to register to vote or change your political party for the Primary Election on August 20.
Stuff the Bus School Supply Drive
Martin County BOCC, MARTY and MTM transit partnered with Boys and Girls Club of Martin County to “Stuff The Bus”. Help local students get their supplies for school by donating at our Stuff The Bus events at the Stuart Walmart, 4001 SE Federal Highway, on July 26 and July 29 from 2 PM to 6 PM. Drop-off will also be available during the entire month at the Martin County Administrative Center.
Chlorination Maintenance
Martin County Utilities will temporarily change the method of chlorinating potable water to ensure the future safety of the water. Utility water users may notice an unusual chlorine taste or odor in their tap water July 7 through July 21.

Water Wisely! Help Protect our Water Resources
Did you know that Martin County has year-round landscape irrigation conservation measures in place? These measures limit landscaping and lawn irrigation in unincorporated Martin County to two days a week and include restrictions on times watering is allowed. Help protect our water resources and ecosystems for future generations!
