RIO

The Rio Redevelopment Area is bounded by Sewall's Point and Jensen Beach on the east, FEC Railway and Arch Street on the north, the City of Stuart on the west and the St. Lucie River to the south.

Rio is a waterfront community with both single family residential, multi-family units and commercial uses.  Many of the commercial properties in Rio are small, individually owned and operated businesses.

Rio has the potential to become one of the most desirable places to live in Martin County due to its coastal location, energetic civic volunteers, historic architecture and colorful history.

The Rio CRA seeks to preserve Rio's history while making necessary improvements that will enhance Rio's future.
